TU250x Kickstart August 19, 2014 About the Suzuki TU250x The is a 249cc EFI, produced in Japan and imported for sale in the United States from 2009 to 2015. The bi-yearly updates of the US version have thus far been limited to trim-line changes. Outside of the US, the bike has a wider audience and has been available longer; originally as a carbureted, 4-valve format with more variants and options.

The closest direct kin to the modern TU250X in the Japanese market is the ST250. The ST250 was available in a standard model and an “E-Type” model. The E-Type is the fancier version, with a two-tone trim-line, and prior to 2008 a kickstarter and a decompression lever on the cylinder head cover.

The kickstart feature was dropped from the E-Type line in 2008, along with a switch to fuel injection. Interestingly, the 2008 E-Type appears to be the basis for the 2009 TU250X (ie: the “fast red one”).

Other forums I've been on didn't post a link -but- you could ask someone on the forum to send you a copy of the pdf. That might make it a little less sketchy than posting the manual online. Yes both violate copyright, but by at least sending by email person-to-person you're not letting the whole world have it. It's more like sharing for personal use. Also since none of us are going to use it for commercial applications - we're not Suzuki repairmen making money off it; we're owners - I think it's not such a bad thing.in fact in this day of pdf files I see no reason Suzuki themselves shouldn't give new owners a disk or usb with the manual on it already. 20 years ago it cost them a lot of money to print and distribute such a specific manual, but now it would cost them almost nothing to provide us with this information. So umm yeah.scan that puppy!

Copyright law is indeed a problem (or could potentially be), but as I would have no intention of financial gain by scanning and sharing the manual, I would be surprised if Suzuki would care.but that's what folks who 'shared' music files thought too! Other forums (the forum for my FZ6, my old Honda CB200, my old SV650) have complete service manuals for download free-of-charge. The other way of looking at it is that by servicing our own bikes, we are 'releasing' Suzuki corporate from a great deal of liability; their lawyers might actually appreciate that!

I have a 'gray market' DR shop manual as well. I think it is fairly safe to download them if you can find them. It's the 'generous' folks that post manuals or music for public download that are most likely to come to grief!
