Oddbald had a pdf VT1100C2 service manual dated August 1994 that.might. be good for 1996 models. They do not have the same engines.I know the Spirit and the Tourer are in the same manual. Joe Yeah, all the service intervals and even the procedures are probably the same but the fluid capacities are different; 1999 ACE oil capacity, for example, is 3.7 US quarts with a filter change but is only 3.3 US quarts on a 1999 Spirit or Tourer - and 12.8 ounces sure seems like a big difference to me. Things like that would have me reluctant to use the 'wrong' service manual; even if I knew that I shouldn't follow it, I might make a mistake. BTW, I can verify that the Spirit and Tourer are in the same service manual for 1997 through 2006. The ACE should be the same for 1995 through 1999 so Oddbald's pdf should be good for 1996. (I use a 1995-1996 ACE manual for my 1999.). Can someone give me the name of a web site that i can download a service manual for a 1996 VT1100c2 ACE? (THANKS) Larry Will this help?

Hey Shad, You have to be careful with the Haynes and Clymers manual as they usually do not have specific information about the vehicles they cover, but general information. Personally, I would only trust the Service Manual when working on my vehicles. That is not to say that I don't have a Haynes or Clymers manual.but I know how good it is and what I can believe in it. Hey Shad, You have to be careful with the Haynes and Clymers manual as they usually do not have specific information about the vehicles they cover, but general information. Personally, I would only trust the Service Manual when working on my vehicles. That is not to say that I don't have a Haynes or Clymers manual.but I know how good it is and what I can believe in it.
